H+H's October 2023 Food Drive: Partnership with Neighbor Good Pantry

Published on Jan 13, 2024 by Lindsey Hinchcliff-Crotty, Foundation Director, The H+H Group

At H+H, we believe in the power of community and the impact we can create when we come together for a shared cause. This October, we partnered with NeighborGood Food Pantry for a special food drive. It was an incredible donation drive that sparked a spirit of giving among H+H associates and a little healthy competition (more later on that!).

Together We Can Make a Difference

October 9th – 21st, H+H ran a food drive across all Omaha locations. The H+H team of associates came together and joined forces with our customers. This collaboration aimed to support NeighborGood Pantry's mission of providing essential food resources to those in need.

This drive proved successful with H+H raising over 5,000 lbs. of food and $3,000 in donations. All donations were given to NeighborGood Food Pantry to support those in need within Sarpy County. Associates showcased their creativity by constructing sculptures from the collected donations. The team got in the competitive spirit to see which location could create the best-designed sculpture. H+H associates voted H+H Chrysler Dodge Jeep & Ram’s train sculpture as the best designed. The social followers of Drive H+H, voted H+H Kia’s sculpture of the Kia logo as the best designed.

Why Your Contribution Matters

It's important to note that 32.5% of the population in Sarpy County has low food access, according to a 2022 Sarpy/Cass Health Department Minority Health Study. Melissa Nelson, Executive Director at NeighborGood shares, “Sarpy County continues to grow in neighborhoods and businesses, yet food insecurity is still faced by many of our neighbors. We’ve continued to see unprecedented demand these past two years, which has led to extremely empty shelves.

At H+H, we're committed to giving back to our community and making a positive difference. By partnering with NeighborGood Pantry for this food drive, we hope to create a brighter future for those in need. Join us in our Driving Good initiative, and let's work together to support our neighbors and build a stronger, more caring community.

Thank you for being a part of the H+H family and for helping us make a meaningful impact in the lives of those who need it most. Together, we can achieve great things!
